XL: chest 38"; length 25.5"The Orange Shirt design represents the resilience of Indigenous people in the shadow of the genocidal policies implemented by residential schools and those that ran them. The feathers represent all the fallen child warriors that endured these horrors and survived, and those that didn't make it home. The quote is from the principal of the St. Barnabas school located at Tsuut'ina, Alberta and shows how his actions were responsible for the mass deaths of Tsuut'ina members that brought us near extinction.
